Hello, my name is Jules Roberson and I’m running for Congressional District 3 of Oklahoma. We are at the crux of history and future for our country and humanity as a whole. More than ever we need strong, progressive, and forceful members of congress to enact legislation and start the march into a future where life is better not worse. Over the past decade we have seen a rolling back of civil rights and a deepening divide that threatens to swallow us all. I will not stand for this as the time has come for meaningful change.

This means we must oust the long term politicians who have guided us directly into this abyss. We must elect people such as myself who will grab ahold of the reigns of power and pull with all our might to get us back onto a road where the horizon is brighter, not darker.

Frank Lucas has been in office representing the state of Oklahoma at the federal level since 1994, first in the defunct district 6 and now for district 3 since 2002. This means he has directly had a role in every major turn our country has taken since the mid 90’s. Iraq war? He supported it. Deregulations on the housing market that caused the 2008 crash? Lucas supported it. Frank Lucas actively pushed against universal healthcare and helped to bring about this part public, mostly private mashup we have right now. This means he has actively played a role in keeping a price tag on the health and well being of good, honest Oklahomans by refusing to take part in ANY kind of deal. What about now? He has become the lap dog of Donald Trump as he serves at his beck and call every opportunity he gets. He voted to overturn the lawful and fair election in 2020. He has fully supported tariffs that are wreaking havoc upon our economy. He wants you either go die in another country for the sake of big oil, or to die here in the United states while you hope your insurance company decides to cover the medical procedure needed to keep you alive. He wants you to be poorer, to be less capable, to have less rights, and to be more subservient to his boss Donald Trump. As Trump and his gestapo (ICE) blackbag and disappear people with ZERO DUE PROCESS, Frank Lucas stands by and claps for his Dear Leader. Frank Lucas is what is wrong with our country and has been for decades.

This is why you must elect myself and people who are similar. Now, you see the D next to my name and think, well the Democrats are spineless, worthless, and downright awful. On that point I wholeheartedly agree with you. I am a progressive and my vow to you, is to bring about the reformation of the Democratic party. It must become one that actually has vision for a better future. One that fights for everything that is good and necessary. I want universal healthcare, I want increased wages for everyday Oklahomans, tax cuts mean nothing when your wages don’t keep you above the poverty line. I want a decrease in the wealth held hostage by the ever growing Billionaire class. I want a powerful and thorough response to the climate crisis, I want overflowing energy powering our country into the future. We MUST act with full severity and as thoroughly as possible to ensure our planet gets healthier in the upcoming years. This continual degradation of our planet for the sake of the rich getting richer is an absolute travesty. You must elect people like me for things to change.

Democrats must embrace people such as myself and reform to work at the behest of their constituents instead of billionaires, or they will wind up going the way of the Whig party.

I am an Oklahoman born and raised.

I am Native American (Wichita).

I am a transwoman.

I am an Amazon warehouse worker.

I am pro-choice.

My degree comes from right here in Oklahoma.

I am fed up with everything that has occurred these past couple decades and am eternally grateful to be in a position to fight back.

I am you, the regular Oklahoman just trying to get by as everything around me gets worse. Austerity and tax cuts have crippled the social services that you are due as a citizen of this country. The entire point of a government is to take in tax money and do good things for your citizens. Continually letting the vast majority of wealth pile up around those who already have it as those with the least continually lose more is the utter disgrace of every elected representative who let this happen.

NO MORE. THE FIGHT IS HERE. JOIN ME AND TOGETHER WE SHALL TAKE BACK OUR RIGHTS, TAKE BACK OUR FREEDOMS. WE WILL OVERTAKE THE GOVERNMENT IN THESE UPCOMING ELECTIONS AND DEFEAT THE EVILS PLAGUING OUR SOCIETY.
